Emma, a Huntingdon native, graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for five years and working as a developmental therapist for nearly three, her journey took an unexpected turn during the Covid-19 pandemic. While working from home, Emma began selling house plants through social media, and what started as a passion quickly blossomed into something more.

In the Spring of 2022, she opened the doors of Wild Roots Plants, a store front dedicated to her love of greenery. Initially focused on house plants, plant accessories, and unique gifts, Wild Roots expanded its offerings in early summer of 2023 to include fresh floral arrangements, bringing even more life and beauty to the community.

At Wild Roots, Emma’s commitment to growth and connection is evident — not just through the plants she nurtures, but through the relationships she builds with her customers, too.
